Question of Surf Technocrats

Now as all you long suffering old ( he he ) members know my knowledge of the Surf is somewhat limited !!!!!!!!!1

So i needs your advice

Boris ( thats what i call my little wonder toy ) has had its timing belt light on since i took off the dash & changed the Speedo face in Sept, i know i know : change the B****y belt
Anyway on wednesday i did a oil change as he has travelled 100000 Km's & guess what the Friggin Timing belt light goes out

Now you experts : Tony N / Kio / Marky / Lucky / De-slug / Hilux Bob / Andy etc etc :

1- Is the Timing belt warning lamp wired up wrong, ie when its off it should be on & on when it should be offfffffffffffffffffff

2- Just so happened at the same time as you did the oil change ( but i never touched the reset button )

3- Or it my Flux Capacitor acting up ?

Aint that a sod, I suggest you change the belt anyway as youve hit the 100,000km mark. you may have disturbed something when you messed with the speedo.

On my 2.4 the light came on after I had the dash apart, mind you it has 150,000km on the clock, so it may be something to do with taking it apart or the power being off for a while, but don't worry about it just reset the light and have another look out to sea, a beer would also be handy just to chill you out, dont want you going grey with all that worry.
