Guess who was doing some welding today and set his Zook on fire?
There I was with the mask up to my face, welding away like a good-un, then I took the mask away and the underseal had caught alight. The flames had burnt through the rubber fuel hose, where the fuel filter connects and because the tank is now above the chassis, the running petrol was burning. My neighbour called the Fire Brigade, but I managed to put it out before they arrived. It took them just 10mins to find our street and another 10mins to get the double parked cars moved. Luckily I had the mole grips to hand and pinched the rubber pipe together above where it was burning. When the flames subsided I blew out the remaining flames.
My face would have been very red if it wasn't covered in soot!!
