Whooooo Hoooo we off to sunny Cornwall on saturday so keep ya peepers peeled for me trollin around Looe area. Black over silver Surf (yea - I'll have the hell-hound with me too)

Off to monkey world one day (must keep Gaz on a leash so he don't get mixed up with the monkeys). Also going to Bodmin Moor to see if we can find the 'Beast of Bodmin' - I'll be ok cos I got my pen knife and can sharpen a pointy stick.

Eden Project another idea - looks like a big golf ball to me though.

anyone else know of any touristy thingies to do down there?

Don't know north Cornwall too well - I'm from Falmouth. Eden project is a must. Get down to St.Ives if the traffic allows - lovely place. Penzance/St. Michaels Mount/Praa Sands. Get down onto the Lizard: Gunwalloe Cove and Church are some of my favourite summer hang-outs! Newquay and Fistral beach if you've got teenagers with - somebody should still be surfing!

Eden project - I found very disappointing - great engineering but planting is still very immature... Lost Gardens of Heligon are down that way and 100 times better!!

Padstow is nice for a visit and Tintagel I like a lot (especially the pastie and scone shop!!)

Fistral is good and drive down to the coast at Rock and take Pagan on the beach - it runs for miles at low tide - big wide sand - my dogs love it!!

Tintagel is a must - both the rugrat and I love it - I'll look up those others

Ang says the Lost Gardens of Heligon sounds interesting - I wonder, can you lose people there?

St. Michaels Mount is another we're thinking of. I've been banned from even thinking about work so i'll take some car polish and clean her up if it's dry (the surf I mean).

Linda - I'll phone you later in the week hun. wot night is best

              Cornwall

Not sure about the north, but it's not that big so anyware works, I would say the same as Jeremy, the Lizard is great and has lots of hidden coves that are great with the hound as they are only used by surfers, also Hale has a huge beach that you can take dogs on, if you do make it to the Lizard try Poldark Mine, it has the deepest post box in the UK (just remember to take the postcards down the mine with you. (you can hand them in to the shop and they will post them for you), they get a unique post stamp, also Goonhilly looks like fun (if your a geek like me), never done it but looks great when the fog rolls in.

I'm banned from Poldark mine - they didn't like me taking my own shovel in and running round screaming - "where's the sky gone?"

You'll see plenty of SURFS around PENZANCE even one with a big lift.
Penzance is also good for shopping. If you see a nutter in a SURF flashing at you its THE DUKE.

Agreed on the Lost Gardens of Heligan... very nice and yes you can get lost.... about 220 acres...? Same team that run Eden Project apparently... Jamaica Inn on Bodmin moor was a little disappointing, food wasn't worth writing about either. Lost Valley Railway near Launceston was hysterically funny... we enjoyed it more than the kids. Fistral, great fun, and the beaches round Tintagel were good too.
