I got my truck stuck in the electronic gates of Jeremy Clarksons
house when I was delivering a Porsche to him.
The gates are on a timer and by the time I reversed off the main
road I was half way through when they closed.Doh!
At the time he was digging out a swimming pool in his garden,
the offer to put my ex-wife in the bottom went down well with
      his sence of humour.
Darn he never took me up on that.

Anyone doing any deep excavations plese PM me.

I fitted a kitchen for Caprice about 5 years ago. It took me 3 weeks which seemed an unusually long time.
also let Jimmy White ride on my number 93 bus for free on many occasions to Wimbledon village....diamond geezer.
Got blown a kiss by Katie Hill after letting her cross the Knightsbridge road on a busy friday afternoon.

          Hey Kitesurf Phil
My dad owns an Excalibur car that Tommy Steele once owned. Apparantley he bought it with the money he made from the film 'half a sixpence'. Maybe he was a better actor than he was a musician!!

When I was a lot younger (13 or 14) I did an advert for Rolf Harris' Wobble Board and the Stylophone. Teddington Studios for 2 days and all the Bacon Sarnies you could eat.

My Dad sang, acted, played mandolin, harmonica and accordian. He was the biggest waste of talent on this planet (sounds harsh I know). He won the John Guilgood (spelling) prize for young actor of the year in 1954.

Tommy Steele had the drive and ambition. Being teetotal helped him too.
                      It's only a hobby!

it was one of them swedish ones ner

seriously I once had a nice chat with Barry Sheen when we met - ended up telling me how he liked to take the micky (not his exact words) out of fellow racer Phil Read.

Colin Blunstone waved at me across the road in London once - dunno why perhaps he thought I knew him

Helen Lederer smiled at me on the train station too - wonder why?

i've been to the queens garden party at buckingham palace. there i met,

the queen, phillip, queen mother, prince charles, edward heath, chatted to a dude with a gun about the queen mothers car and some beefeaters about axes!
the sarnies and drinks were small and they had 2 bands playing (something like the royals and the sdg bands i think?)

the grass in the back garden wasn't all that (mark G8awo's ma's is much nicer!) but they've got a lake thing and i reckon a swimming pool too, but the windows were blacked out!

all in all, a nice gaff though!

oh, and my cousin's on a very well know bbc tv program and another cousin was a speed skater selected for the winter olympics but you have to payt to get there yourself and he couldn't afford it cos he's a skint northerner!
nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!

Oliver Reid, Brian Blessed and Jason Connery have sat on my horse in films (not all at the same time though!). Have worked on set with Helen Baxendale when she was an unknown. Went to Royal Garden Party on merit for rifle shooting. My sister's nephew plays for Arsenal (loaned to Norwich City just now - David Bentley). I once made it to the front page of the local rag for crawling up a field drain to rescue 2 lambs.
