      Colin.

All the best and get well soon. Hopefully the bad luck has finished now and you'll win the lottery - you deserve something good to happen.

      Cheers

            Many Thanks

            Thanks Everyone.

Its 2pm (Monday) and just got home from the Hospital, (Not keeping me there any longer).
Sorry I couldn't make it to D/P on Sunday, as you know I took a bit of a tumble on my way to Linda's.
            To explain....................
Around 6.30am I was riding along the A31, just comming up to the M27 (Nice Long down hill stretch ) Road was clear, not another vehicle in sight.
I was NOT speeding along (Strange for me that?) doing about 70 mph when there was a loud Bang!
Not sure what happened after that as all I can remember is some woman screeming that I was dead and some bloke telling her to shut up and phone for an ambulance?
I do remember I hurt all over and trying to figure out why I was lying on my side looking up the hill?
Ambulance came, spinal board etc, etc & off to hospital I went.

Well from what the Police have told me (& thanks Steve = Very Nice Police Officer) the front tyre blew Big-Time, It jammed up the front wheel instantly and me and my bike parted ways

I went off down the road & my bike went off road (doing a little cross country).

From what my brother & the Police have told me, my bike is Rather badly damaged, they all seem to think the ins co will write her off?, I have not seen her yet, though not sure if I want to anyway

I am not to bad (thanks to loads of Excellent Bike clothing) Badly bruised all down my left side, from my neck, down my left arm to my wrist is all bandaged up, my left hand looks black and my left leg is covered in Cotton wool and about ten dozen bandages. (supposed to stop the swelling).
I only have a hairline fracture down my left leg so all in all I think I got off very lightly.
Must have an looking after me?

My Bike, Digi Camera & Cam-Corder are all stuffed along with the luggage set I had on my bike, my phone was in my Jacket pocket and they only managed to find the front cover ? everything should be replaced by the ins Co along with all of the clothes I had on. (ever noticed how ambulance crews Just LOVE to cut your clothes off?).

I am on enough pain killers to drop an elephant
(they do work though ) and hurt in places I didn't know I had?

Anyway, thats MY THREE, life has JUST GOT TO GET BETTER NOW

So I would like to say a "BIG" Thank You to everyone who has posted a message, I don't care what anyone else says about you lot, I think your Great

Just to let you know though, I might not be about for a while, as I am supposed to stay in bed, my PC is downstairs so with
            "She who MUST be obeyed"
keeping tabs on me, I don't think I will be allowed to play for a little while

            As for the stickers...................... ........................
Yes they are all ok, I packaged them up well as I was going to hand some out at D/P. My Brother is going to send them up to Koi for me as soon as he can (& we can find his address???????)

            Anyway Folks, Thanks for everything.
I shall be back soon, off to bed now as I am getting VERY Evil Looks

            Bye for now
            Colin

              Welcome back Colin,

I am sure that EVERYONE will want you to have an easy time of it for a bit so you listen to ""She who MUST be obeyed" and PLAY on it while you can.

We will all be still here once you are better.

THE ONLY IS UP FOR YOU KNOW

              Regards

You git, Shelley was just coming around a little about a bike, 10 years after my Dads last accident, now shes seen this thread and I'm back to square one!

Sorry to hear about your accident, but really pleased to hear that you had all the right gear on - might have been a different story otherwise. I don't get cross about a lot of things but riding in jeans and t-shirts is sheer lunacy (although I am after a trike so I can go LIDLESS!!)
Hope you have a speedy recovery - develop a taste for well prepared food to keep her in the kitchen whilst you chat to us and take it easy.
Oh by the way - i don't know about your painkillers but mine were horrendous after having my gallbladder out - I hope the side effects have been explained to you, eat lots of fruit and it won't be too bad......
                        waffle,waffle,waffle etc
Enjoy your enforced rest watching cr*p daytime TV.

                        Lou
