Just about to order some new rear springs with 2 inch lift to cure my saggy arse problem, do I need longer shocks to match?

So far as I've learned, depending on whose springs you buy, you may not actually be getting a real 2" lift over standard new springs. If your arze is sagging, even new standard springs will appear to have significant "lift".
If you'll often be in off-road situations where your rear axle will experience serious drop, a longer shock might be helpful in reducing the amount of restriction in drop that standard shocks might cause, and thus keep your wheels in contact with the ground.
The dealer will likely offer advice, and probably recommend a matched spring/shock combo, albeit with some bias toward increasing his sale by advising longer shocks.
When I renew, I hope to fit ProComp +2" springs & ES3000 +2" shocks, but in truth, it'll be more because I like matching stuff and having things complete than because I'll be doing any really serious off-roading. Of course, I'll also enjoy the macho lifted appearance of my baby.
Others with more technical knowledge will doubtless be along soon...

Cheers mate.
I'm looking at getting a set of springs to counter the arse sag. I think I can get a set for £80-100 with a 2 inch lift.
If I can get a standard pair from toyota for less, I think I will.
I have a mechanic friend of a friend who can fit them for about 20 quid, did'nt want him taking my truck apart and then not be able to put the springs on
cheers again for the info.Johnny
