Your brakes are full of mud and grit so a good clean out will be required, especially the rear drums.Originally posted by AlexKzn130 View PostI got issues too, would seem I'm in dire need of new brake pads as I have a awful scrapping when stopping and I have wat looks like power steering fluid from the pump
And let's not forget the no 4wd lol
If it is power steering fluid, check the reservoir on the top of the pump, they have a habit of leaking from the "O" ring that seals it at the bottom to the body of the pump. If it is here then keep an eye on the alternator as it will be dripping straight in to it.

yea was really good, right from the start i was out my comfort zone as the first couple of fords were fecking deep (least i thought so) think the lsd on the rear really helped there was jus a few sections it jus couldn't do anything about the AT2's got clogged and turned into slicks and i had to get towedOriginally posted by Growler View PostSome nice pics Alex, How was your first trip out ?
but really wanna sort the 4wd out so next time i can dominateYes it's a V8, don't you know I'm loco?

i dunno i think its more than grit the pads had been scratching for weeks as i drive and now i get a very deep metallic scratch (the sort of noise that suggests damage will happen if i continue)Originally posted by Growler View PostYour brakes are full of mud and grit so a good clean out will be required, especially the rear drums.

i used the handbrake to slow down in an attempt to put minimum pressure on the fronts and hardly any scratching so i think the drums are ok
im gonna take a look at the pump tomorrow it doesn't look like a bad leak but it stuck out like a sore thumb sunday cos the whole engine bay was dry brown in colour and there was one random wet patch around the pumpYes it's a V8, don't you know I'm loco?

OK thanks I'm taking a look today, I got new pads anyway £10 from milners can't go wrongOriginally posted by Growler View PostCheck for stones between discs and back plate, it sounds bad it thats where it is as the bavknplate really squeels. From memory the pads hadn't had that much use and should only be about half worn!Yes it's a V8, don't you know I'm loco?
