I will be picking the route on the day but I plan to run up through Bulford range then north to the get to the A4 back south to Devizes then to Imber range and Larkhill range then stonehenge to finish. We will vist Imber but if any one wants a patictular point to go to please ask and if it is not on a TRO or VTRO we will try to fit it in.

Glad everyone is on the same page re deep water no diff breathers as yet.

I can see I will have to remove the side exit pipe from the exhaust as well.

Question. Can I leave the tow hitch and side steps on the truck?

Why do any of that? I can do it with a standard truck on road tyres. The only thing you might want to do is if the tow hitch has a drop plate.

Well the exhaust hangs pretty low as its a street system. Little worried about squashing it. lol..

I am just getting an idea of what terrain to expect. Sounds like it'll be just the right speed but its never good to turn up with a knife to a gun fight, or visaversa.

given that I know Ian is no longer in his highly modded truck, and running standard pickup now, I know he won't be doing owt mad although he may offer alternatives if you feel brave/stupid

Given that most of the routes can be done in standard truck and two wheel drive, it is a good place to start out and learn from.

Biggest thing to remember is to ensure you thoroughly wash the truck afterwards, especially the rad if you go through any water.

Now all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the day, just make sure to top the tanks before leaving the services, off roading can be a little thirsty.

Yeah, its the Avon park 'Over the quarter slaughter' the weekend after and I want her in show condition so it'll be snowfoam lances at dawn.

I also want to find the limits of these michelin A/T tires and the center diff so some mud might happen....

The only place you can go is on the designated routes, so no off piste driving or we risk loosing the place altogether, and Ian will abandon the day.
