  • Is this unique?

I have two rubber inserts on the corners of the rear bumper (well there was - one has fallen off!) I have been looking at pictures of all your Surfs and some I have seen on the road but none appear to have these fitted.
I originally assumed they were stuck on by a previous japanese owner but there is a recess in the bumper where the one on the nearside has dropped off so they are obviously meant to be there.

Has anyone else seen / got these?

Yours is the first i've seen. Maybe the impressions were made by the prev owner reversing into walls!

Obviously some kind of directional thrust mechanism for the ion drive. Most Surfs only have one aperture in the centre of the bumper, which makes steering at warp speed a little precarious, so I guesss you are lucky to have the extra control!
      It's only a hobby!

They are Trainer Bumpers for new Surf drivers.

When you graduate, you get proper bumpers!

The might be good for Hilux Bob and his jack-knifing trailer antics!
