2.4 fuel pump question

i have a leaky fuel pump its leaking from the nut like thingy mi bob on top with wires coming from it and the rear of the pump any idea whats needs to be done seals or new pump
hopfully some one can chuck some light on this has its not something i have ever done

Hi mate, if it's the top leaking it is fairly easy to do, afraid you'll have to spend out on a seal kit and only use a couple of the seals, but it will do the job,
just remove anything blocking the view of the top of the pump, knock down the tabs on the locking plate around the large nut (bit with the wires coming out the top), loosen the nut (big one), undo the four cover screws and tap the lid off, remove the lid seal and the big nut and clean up with a lint free cloth, remove the "o" ring from the sensor unit, and fit a new one, fit the big nut finger tight, fit the new lid seal to the pump body and refit the lid, thighten the big nut and bend up the tabs, that should do it, no need to remove the pump or the distributor pipes,
