4runner engine / surf 3.0

Hi guys

This maybe a dumb question, but is the 1993 4 runner the same 3.0 lump as the gen 2 surf? 1kz-te?

I was looking for a replacement performance air filter like a K&N etc...and the only one I could find that sounds half right is a pipercross for the 4runner 3.0TD.

Will this fit my kzn130 (1kz-te) 3.0?
