  • What's it worth?

    Hi all,

Having recently moved house and had a child, its time to re-arrange the fleet,

I could do with one smallish car and one big one that can tow, instead of the xc70 and surf I have now.

The Plan is to either get a xc90 and SWB land cruiser or a proper land cruiser/pathfinder and a civic or similar.. to make parking far less of a ball ache we need to get one shorter than the other.

    anyway its:

    1993 3.0 Auto,
clocked just over 100K but a big chunk was in KM before changed to Miles.
    Remote locking
    Newish centre and rear exhaust
    just serviced
    GG AT2's in good condition
    MOT till December
    chassis etc. rock solid

    Bad bits:

bumpers starting to rust on the chrome,
    tailgate window doesn't quite shut
small blemish of rust on bottom of front doors
a couple of dings and scuffs in the bodywork, but over all very solid
    saggy springs

just trying work out costs to change at the min, it might not be financially viable to change both cars anyway, but you never know till you get the facts together - ta

Hard to work out without pics, but about £1,000.

If you go for an XC, shop around.

The mileage is good, but you're looking at about £500-600 for bumpers, springs etc. I'd want to check the head and exhaust manifold too, but would suggest £1,500 - £1,800 you may get a lot more, but 3rd gens are coming to the mid £2ks now, and they are better trucks
