  • Bit of a long shot....

Does anyone on here use or admin any CRM sites with SugarCRM or SuiteCRM??

I'm having issues with permissions and integration of a portal, and the support sites for the product are terrible....

Good luck, I tried Sugar once, the permissions were a mine field...and support on the free version seemed a bit thin (it was 7 years ago though).

I guess if you have to stick with the free ones it's a case of experimenting, as you probably have already been doing...

What's the project may I ask?

Support portal hosted on Joomla, the connector is custom code from SalesAgility, that references the CRM so customers can log cases, list cases etc using the AOP in SuiteCRM.

So far, the portal and CRM have the settings and permissions set as per instructions, but the portal can't reference the CRM, and when I change any user attributes in the CRM, they don't show after saving.

Can't work it out - I have four CRM instances, using three different versions, one works, the other on the same version doesn't, the oldest version doesn't and the brand new on doesn't either.

          Driving me mental.

As you say, permissions does sound like it.

If it's not saving changes, something doesn't have permission to write to the DB.

Any clues in the log file after you try to save changes?

It's been to long for me to be any use I'm afraid...

You've already been more helpful than the product support forums.

I'll have a read through tomorrow and see how I get on. Cheers.
