Finally got it fixed!

Well chaps, I finally got my 4Runner fixed in Zimbabwe ( I'm in the UK) so please take a look at the attached pics.

Now it's not very clean, and it was done in my trusty bush mechanic's back yard, but can anyone clarify what is the object in the bottom left hand corner of the picture where a battery used to be. Is it an intercooler or oil cooler?

Looks like an aux radiator (heater matrix) for extra cooling?? The pipes are too small for an inter-cooler and they are piped the wrong way.

I've no idea...all I've got is the pics...I think my friend has lost Internet and that could be hours days or weeks!

However I think the turbo is on that side.

Looks like they've plumbed that rad in to replace the interior heater. From what I can see the connections to the heater matrix in the dash have been cut/removed.

Anyway, mystery solved! Will it work there? I'm also ####ed off about loosing my second battery.

Not so bad...

Down with the flu at the moment, that plus my Disco keeps slipping out of High range into Neutral so looks like another expensive trip to the garage!

Somedays do you just get ####ed off with life?
