I predict an increase in registration plate cloning, especially as it's so easy to buy a pair of plates on eBay with no questions asked.

They must ask for the reg. no?

The insurance cert, scam hasn't being able to work for a while now. The post office computer system shows up to date insurance and MOT details regardless of having the documents with you. All you need now in order to tax your vehicle is literally just the reminder, unless the vehicle is SORN'd, then you just need the logbook. Until October of course.

Just like the old, old scam of dipping your documents in brake fluid to remove the ink so you can fill in the details you want, or photocopying your MOT so you can add the date you want.

There's only a couple of scams that still work these days, but it would be really naughty to advertise them on here, lol
