  • digital radio interference

    Hi guys, another quickie,i hope.
truck is fitted with a DAB radio and glass mount antenna.
when i brake or turn the indicators on,or both ,the radio cuts out, but comes on again when indicators are turned off,or brake pedal released.
kind off reminiscent of the mid 80's when we had to fit suppressors to the ignition coils!
the stereo is also using the standard power Aerial that we have.
can we still get, or need suppressors ?
it has a retro fitted ISO lead from the previous double din stereo.

You could fit a suppressor, that will help.
You could also wire straight from the battery (via a suitable fuse) that will cut down on interference too.

give it a try, easier than wiring a record player in!

I would try a hard wired antenna (old school full coax cable from aerial bit to receiver as well).
You could end up fitting suppressors/capacitors to everything as mr Snoke has suggested.
