Rear bump stop

My passenger side rear bump stop has fallen off and I need to get the car thru the MOT.

I looked for a replacement on RT:

But in the picture, it looks like just the rubber bit which fell off, there doesn't seem to be any attachment. I still have the rubber bit...Are they just glued on?

memory says there bonded to a metal disc that has a bolt in it...I would have expected them to come complete...and having looked at your link that does have the metal bit in it.

Remove both rear bump stops, save the cash & mot pass

Had another look. There is a rusted bit of metal with a rusty bolt going through it at the point where the bump stop should be attached to the suspension mount. Not sure if the bolt will ever come undone again, it looks so rusty, it'll probably shear as soon as I come near it!

It looks as if the metal circular plate must have been glued to the rubber bump stop and then a bolt gone through the plate to hold it onto the suspension mount.

Maybe I can make a new metal disc, glue it to the rubber bump stop and bolt it on...
