Ok, so not exactly search and rescue!

But I helped some paramedics to transport a girl down a steep bank (she had slipped and broken something) to the waiting ambulance.

Have any of you rescued someone in your surf?

if you like that type of thing you can join a volunteer 4x4 rescue team, im sure there is some on your area

I ran over someone once and then called an ambulance...does that count?

havn't transported anyone but last year got caught up in a head on (i was 2nd vehicle behind and nearly got hit) and was also first on scene to a roll over.

I found out a few years ago at a karting meet that a stretcher will fit in the back of a 3rd gen surf; mine ended up being the back up ambulance for the event!

I've been to several accidents at rally events, and have been the towtruck at a number of hillclimbs and autocrosses. I also nearly ended up as the rescue barge at a recent rally after the rescue crews transit broke down (they got it going just before I got to them to take their equipment on board).
