My dads bought a 3rd Gen
I caught him last week looking at Freelanders. After a quick slap around the head and threats of an old folks home we went looking for a 4x4 for him.
Found one down the borders on a farm that had been sat up for 3 months as it was surplus to requirements. Body work is a bit tired and the wheels need refurbished. It only had a months mot left but has been well maintained and drives beautifully. He took a chance and went for it and got it for less than £1500 as the farmer wanted it out of the way! It scrubbed up well and I don't expect any major problems for the mot. I must admit I think he's done well.
