  • Finally

So,finally after not having any teenagers that needed trucking here and there or call outs or family commitments and many many rained off days I have finally managed to pull my finger out and to be honest with a slight amount of trepidation I got the body lift done.

No bruised knuckles, no profanities, and it all went fairly well.

Here are a few pictures of before and after.
The first pic is how it stood, the second is ground to wheel arch, the third is with the lift and the fourth is how she now sits.
    I'm quite chuffed with it.

Now I have the extra space in the engine bay.......
    The modifications continue.....

Depending on your timescale and possible access to air tools...
If not I would suggest giving all the existing threads on the body bolts a wire brushing and a liberal dosing with your preferred penetrating fluid.
Deep reach 14mm socket is handy.
I used a length of 4by2 to spread the load on the body seam when lifting the body off the frame.
Loosen the steering UJ and that should be about it.
I did have a bit of sticking where the body meets the frame but I squirted some WD40 in the holes and that seemed to work a treat.

Yep I am dead chuffed with it, I love the way it sits apart from now I can see way too much of the chassis, which needs painting.....

Nice looking truck mate...and good work on a lift with no swearing. Ask Captain Chaos how not to keep away from the spare wheel bracket when doing one.....

                  Fanks you lot.

The interior is looking quite dapper too, what with the new seats n'all.
