  • Heeeeelllllllppp!!!

got my 2.4 that destroyed the engine, replaced with other engine, newer,
    after that,
    and driving 200miles,
realized that the fuel pump is leaking,
replaced it with the one of the old engine that was working perfect,
drove 5 miles then the engine check light turned on and the car stopped,
cheked cables, fuses, earth, changed ECU, and now doesn't start, there is fuel coming in the injector pump but not going out to the injectors,
    any ideas?

when im back home i will post more pics to explain better what i ha changed.
    many thanks

Thats nothing to do with the fuel pump, it's for the A.D.D.

Why did you change the ECU? And have you tried changing it all back to see if it starts?

Yes seriously, it's the A.D.D. relay.

Pull it out and see if you get 4wd when you press the botton on the transfer lever.

Getting back to your problem, where was the original pump leaking from?

Are you saying you changed the engine and it worked fine for 200 miles?

                      Is the fuel primer working?

When you said there's no fuel reaching the injectors, was that with the engine off?

the original pump was leaking from the back,

yes it worked fine till i realized that i had the leak.

                        fuel primer works fine,

fuel not reaching injectors, when i crank the engine to start, i released one of the fuel lines to the injectors, and no fuel coming out of it

Spill control valve not working or not receiving cranking signal.

Have you checked for ECU codes?

Use a paperclip or short piece of wire and jump the E1 and TE1 terminals in the diagnostics box. Switch on ignition and count the flashes of the red check engine light next to the green turbo light.

Something else I just thought about, is the RPM sensor on top of the pump. (White plug) If this isn't sending a signal to the ECU the engine won't start.

Was the rev counter working before the truck stopped?
