I just fitted a fuel pump of an 3l and it started!!!
Now i need to refit rad and all sensors to find the fine tunning of it due the 3l got different mark on the pump.
Thank you for your help and fingers crossed that it works fine for MOT.

it was worth trying the 3l fuel pump, it started the engine, but 2500 revs and didn't do anything when accelerate, and quite a bit of smoke, so it was a no, no.

got another 2.4 fuel pump, and now is working!!

lets see what the test center have to say next week!

I've got my fingers crossed for you Bud, sounds like you've had a real trial getting to the bottom of this.

so far i had made a few miles, and when cold its a bit smokey and lumpy, but when it worm up, it doesn't seem to be too bad
