  • Tinted windows, like or dislike?

    Hi all,

When I bought my truck (Gen 2), I loved that it had black tinted windows (rear & rear sides). It made me feel all "gangsta"

But after driving her about for a couple of months they are starting to bug me. Now it's dark early I find it tricky seeing clearly when reverse parking - the reverse lights seem dim with the tints on.

Also, the rear screen is slightly worse because it has been scuffed from years of up & down action!

I just wondered how everyone else gets on with them? Are they a hinderence when off-roading, in that your view is dulled, or am I just being picky?

    Cheers

    James

Tried lowering the window when reversing in the dark?

Personally I love the tints, but then I don't have the problems with scuffs or scratches because the actual glass is factory tinted and not that stick on film.
It looks completely black from the outside, mainly because the interior is dark grey/black, but no problems seeing out at night really. The second photo below shows how the tint looks with daylight behind.

      Now there's an idea

I could just put a brighter reversing bulb in

I had same problem, so I put 2 spot lights into the rear bumper that worked when you put it in reverse and switched a button

Like Bushy's fog lamps in the above picture or mine

the spots went in to the corners but I cant find a picture for you

        found it

I like, especially on a black truck!

          More Lift.
          More Tyres.
          More Engine.
