  • Sureterm Direct heads up

I went to sureterm 3yrs ago with 9yrs no claims which now means I should have 12 yrs when I move on. NO i still only have 9 as that's all they go up to and will only send proof of 9.
Most other company's do not restrict on compare sites.

I've just lost 3 yrs careful driving

I'm expecting my renewal any day now and should have 10yrs.
Surly if they were asked to provide confirmation to another company they should be able to confirm your driving track record?
For me let's just hope they are the cheapest again ;-)

It would be interesting to see if you still have 9 yrs too. I was shocked as well that you have to pay for glass chip repair being fully comp!!!
I'm thinking you get what you pay for which is a worry if you have a bad accident.

No claim bonus. 100% is usually reached after 5 to 7 years.

If you full no claims bonus, by adding years makes no difference, you have full discount already.

I've never claimed and I've been driving for 37 years, doesn't mean I get more than 100% NCB.

I'm sure you're correct, so why do they keep a running total?
Incidentally I had to pay for a windscreen chip on my other car.
That car is insured with Hastings

I had my rant about Sureterm back in October and would avoid them. Funny enough I noticed that my proof of no claims was also 9 years when it arrived after they fooked up.

Was with Sureterm in 2012, when renewal time came they quoted over £900, up from £380 as they didn't insure imports anymore.

Changed to Flux for £400 this past year, renewal was due tomorrow and they wanted £422 which wasn't bad.

But I thought I'd have a search just in case, like you do.

Mark Richard quoted me £238 for the coming year. All the usual stuff, windows covered, up to 10,000 miles plus a couple mods, new bull bars etc etc etc, so I went with them.

Rung Flux back to say I'd got it cheaper and after a 2 minute conversation they said they'd be able to match it. Came in with £237.

When I asked why they didn't come back with that as a renewal price the lass was a bit vague about how they secure a renewal price so I said I'd keep them in mind next year and hung up.

I have just got my renewal notice from flux , fully comp with business use £204.00 and yes 9 years is the usual time required for full discount, I have been driving for 40 + years and all my knocks were other drivers hitting me.

                    Hi Daisy
                    Thanks for the info.
I shall give both a whirl.

                    Cheers

                    Steve

Just phoned Mark Richards for a quote.
Not too bad £199 with a lesser excess than Sureterm

One thing is a puzzle though.

Why is it difficult to find a 3ltr 2nd gen on these websites?

Lady at M,R says they just aren’t listed?

Another point raised by the lady from Mark Richards was to check the detail on the renewal from Sureterm.
Sureterm have provided a statement of fact for the new policy and they have listed the vehicle as a Manual rather than automatic.
But nowhere in any of the old policy documents from Sureterm & A Plan does it state if the vehicle is manual or automatic.
Originally I verbally gave the particulars to Sureterm.
Have they always got it wrong or is it just this time?

I will have to check with them tomorrow because if it's wrong then it isn't properly insured.

Looks like I may transfer to Mark Richards as at least they have quoted on the correct vehicle

Well Bottled it and insured with Lancasters/Sureterm for £209
Slightly better excess than M/R but at least i'm insuring the right vehicle.

Checked to see if my prescent cover is valid and it is so all good

And yes still 9yrs no claims
