  • Auto gear shifter selector light?

Simple question. Should the auto gear shifter have a light up selector? I can see a red line, but at night (in the dark), I can't see this.

    Thanks

Yup. It's a piddy little thing.

There is a small bulb underneath it. It may be blown or loose (the one in mine is a bit temperamental).

I the 3rd Gen you just pop off the plastic surround at the base of the shifter (I think I had to pop off 2 screws) and you'll see the bulb holder there.

Don't know about the 2nd Gen.

Aaarrrrgghhhh, I've just snapped the plastic cover whilst "encouraging" it off, Ffs!!!

On the positive side, the bulb has definitely blown.

She could see it...it wasn't covered in oil.

And the bulb blown is a good thing?
A breaker seems to be what you need.
