Anyone imported a car themselves?

Morning All

I’m considering bringing my car back with me when I come back from NZ. The shipping company told me that they don’t cover any fees or tasks once the car comes off the boat at Southampton.

It’s a fairly new car so safety etc shouldn’t be an issue as it’s an EU model.

Anyone know what the process is once it’s off the boat? I assume it needs an MOT. Does it have any other inspections?

You need to look at the government website, all details can be found there. I took a personal import in to the UK in 2000, so it may have changed since then, but all I needed was an MOT.
