Howdy all, been tappin' into your excellent posts for a couple of years and have always found my answers, so haven't needed to post- Until now...!
I've got a 2.4td (new head recently fitted - haha, very funny!) and love it.
I've got myself a 1000w 12v-230v power inverter, which I successfully power from the Surf. I'm using this to power tools and soon will be using it to run a water pump as I need to clean a 15m deep well which is located out in the deep deep Estonian forest. This will take some time to do..
Ok, so my three questions that you Surf Nuts may know:
How much fuel does the 2.4td uses on idle?
Can the alternator produce 55amps (presumably 660w) continuous power when on idle?
Does the size of inverter load affect/increase fuel economy?
