You need vents not a scoop if you want to release under bonnet heat.

If you have a few hours to spare have a read of this....

Worth reading till the end as it covers rads, fans, thermostat, ATF cooler, airflow, vents, driving style, and much more. Tried and tested. Upshot is what may work for some may not work for others. Interesting though. Open a few beers and dive in..... Which was nice.

Vince knows his stuff and where the position of the vents should be...
I have taken out my air con system as i am not bothered having it and I figured that a big rad full of 20yrs of crud that covers the air flow to the main rad was being restrictive.
I also drove in very hot conditions abroad with the bonnet open on the catch. This made a big differance for my truck...I may try the washers under the bonnet hinges next before I start cutting the bonnet for vents..... Which was nice.

Belt and braces but the scoop is for getting air through the intercooler, plus i do have some restriction on the front (winch box) small vents work fine, i can see the heat shimmer comeing out, also a body lift lets more air flow through as the trans has a larger gap between it and the tunnel,Too young to die and too old to give a toss
