  • Scary - 4x4 caught up in floods - family escapes unharmed...

Scary situation for a family to find themselves in. Thankfully all escaped unharmed and just soaked through.

Water can be so powerful...could have been worse.

Sure some will say the driver was "blah blah". But these things can really take you by surprise.

Yeah, I spotted that too. I recon that it floated away cause it's on 35's. They act like great big buoyancy devices. .

That came up quick. We're desperate for rain up here, that water was wasted on Essex!

Funnily enough, I nearly drove into a boat testing pool in the rain in 1992, 20m deep, had no idea it was there, no barrier, nothing...looked like a bit of surface water on a concrete road....stopped 2ft short when I realised 20ft yachts dont float on puddles...

I lost a Vito when some cock in a Landy who was out having a play in some flooded roads swamped the air intake.
Water does not compress, conrods bend.
