  • Can we bin this part?

Is the fan in front of the rad on the 2.4 an aircon fan or an ancillary electric fan for extra cooling?
Looks crap, want to get rid of it or replace with something better.
The pic I've posted has an arrow pointing to the grill, this hides what I think is the aircon condenser, is this correct? Aircon pump has already been removed so no point keeping all the other gubbins.

    Yes you can delete it.
    I don't use/need them on the V8 conversions.

The other thing is the A/C dryer and can be deleted also.

I think he means we can delete it when we fit the V8

Brian, would you be interested in a pair of headlights with built in sidelights?
I've managed to seperate the headlight glass from the housing and I'm going to drill and fit the original sidelight fitting into the headlight that will be accessible from the top when the bonnet is open.
The original sidelights can then be used as indicators (with and orange bulbs) by just extending the indicator wiring, saves you finding some suitable after market indicators for the tubular bumper.

          What you fink?

I'll post a photo of what they'll look like on a truck first.

Sounds a neat solution would be keen to see them. I have led indicators that push fit to holes drilled in the tubes but your idea sounds well worth considering pal.

Yeah, it's an auxiliary fan. Aircon fan (possibly fans, can't remember) is underneath.

that fan doubles as an overheat fan.
if you have an auto its also for the auto gearbox if its gets to hot.

if your sure engine and gearbox will not overheat then remove it.

                  Ok, conflicting views then.

The bloke who knows more about our climate.

It's just a back-up fan for when the ATF gets so hot it affects the coolant temps.
On a lifted truck and especially one with a tubular bumper, it's not really needed as the rad gets plenty of airflow and the bodylift allows cooling air over the transmission.

Plus it's getting a brand new rad fitted for good measure.

                      Once again Thank you sir.

Are you using one side light per headlamp?
