  • Newbie says Hi - Hi

Hey, Just bought myself a Gen 2 Toyota Surf 2.4TD.

I hadn't planned to, I just saw it for sale and having always liked the shape, thought Id try one out. Really liking it so far!

Currently tidying it up a little, I think the previous owner had it in mud up to its sunroof, but after a few hours with the pressure washer and a bit of polish its looking alright.

So far I've just repainted the towbar & wiper arms (rusty), and ordered a new motor for the drivers side window.

Hoping to get some help if I encounter anything more taxing!

    Cheers in advance!

    Benross

Its called Watermouth Valley Camping Park, half way between Combe Martin and Ilfracombe. http://www.watermouthpark.co.uk/

They do 20% discount for car club members :-)

                      Nice looking truck. Fabulous views

I quite fancy those Runway Enduro A/T when I need to change but they don't seem to do them for the Gen3 265/70R16, only the H/T.

They do 265/75/R16 - would that make much difference...Slight speedo inaccuracy but would that be it ??

                      Seems rather odd to me.

                      Cheers + ATVB

I was just the other side of the castle at little meadow (about 900 yards from where you took that photo!) Nice place Devon...

The previous owner brought them 2 months before he sold it, said they cost him £400 for the four. I don't get any road noise from them but they are alright for the limited off road work I have to do.

like you say, the speedo might be slightly out, but as long as you remember at speed cams.

I Don't think tyre size 75 will make any difference but as already said maybe speedo may differ slightly, a Sat Nav comparison will tell ya a true speedo reading ..
