Nice innovations there, Shayne. I like it when people think "outside the box". .

ill see what i can do.
outside the box? well maybe but it is a method
used all the time in landy circles.
beauty of the shock mounts is you get to keep
the original damping property's of the original shocks
all be it fixed to one setting.
Same for the ARB sitting at more or less its original
position relative to the axle.
and the range rover springs give me the lift while not being
stiff as a board like as lot of after market tend to be.
total cost to me sod all as all the bits were laying around in my
shed if i were to plan it out properly i would have sourced
some larger box section to accommodate the actuator for the dual
rate shock but as i tended to leave it on hard anyhow its no big deal
and as it is done now its an hours work to reverse it all back to stock.

the mounts simply hold the top of the shock 3 inches lower
than the chassis rail which allows the shock to respond
as it did when the rest of the suspension was at standard hight
the odd shape was making best use of the material i had available
2 by 1 rectangle 3mm wall.
forming an inverted T with a hole all the way through
with a captive nut welded at the top.
allows the shock rubbers to sit one inside and one below
the T in the same form as they would have
sat in the flange inside the chassis box.
the captive nut allows fitting or removing by means of a single
bolt/washer through the original flange hole.
the uneven lengths of the cut sections is simply down
to me being a lazy git if i were doing them for show as it were
they would be cut to even lengths.
all that matters is large enough to accommodate the shock rubbers
to seat correctly and small enough not to foul against the chassis.
The springs are 90s (late classic) range rover rear HD springs
known as police spec as they were a factory fit to motorway
patrol range rovers to cope with constantly carrying
the vast array of kit and comms gear they used to cram
in to them.
on a standard range rover they give just shy of 2 inches of lift
i have gained somewhat more on the surf.
point to note they ARE NOT the same diameter as the stock
springs on the surf the bases are a fraction larger and seat nicely
but the tops are narrower so do not slide all the way up the inverted cone
when fitting however after the weight is on them and they have hammered
over a few pot holes they seat satisfactorily as they have plenty of give.

ETA pop round and ill fit your TRD bars and knick you intercooler
You probably have more chance of seeing the truck on the A338 up in your neck of the woods atm.
The truck is black and shiny(for a wilts truck), with a special forum sticker on the front windscreen, give it a wave
The TRD bars and intercooler are all waiting to be fitted, after the truck has been (body)lifted which is waiting to be done after the rear springs which are also on the list........Eat.Sleep.Surf.Repeat.
