dare i say - this post needs pictures???

Well all done, but no pics I'm afraid.

Out of bed and just managed a lap of the ward#

Leg feels good and pain/discomfort is around the wound site currently

Hope to be home tomorrow night if no complications overnight and physio agrees in the morning

              Blimey, that was quick!
I thought you would have had to stay in at least a week.

I was expecting 4-5 days but got home around 2:30 this afternoon. Just have to try and take things easy for the next week until staples come out

                                4 week post op update

Well, it's now four week's post op and i can't believe how good things are going.

I am now able to walk for approx. between 1 and 2 miles a day unaided and without any support form a stick or crutches.

i have even been able to reduce one lot of my pain killers and hopefully will start reducing the morphine by next weekend
after i see my doctor and sort out a sensible process.

Had my first post op Physio assessment last Tuesday, and other than some weakness in my right leg and some hamstring
stiffness they say all looks good. start the main sessions in a couple of weeks time after some additional exercises at home to start
                                loosening things up.

Tried to do a full days work yesterday and by around 4pm i was regretting it and ended up having an early night to relieve
things, so will be taking it easier for a few weeks yet.

                                Scar now looks like this
