Since starting my new job 3 weeks ago, I've had a lot of time on my hands and have got back into watching more films. So I thought I would share some recent viewings with you all.
Hellboy
- out in cinema Friday 3 Sept. Or out on region 1 import DVD now.
Based on the Comic book, this film really entertains. If you liked Xmen, spiderman 1 & 2 and possibly even Hulk then you will love this movie.
Won't go into too much detail so not to spoil it but there's plenty of action, guns and sfx , and the story isn't bad either. 8/10
Alien Vs Predator - out in cinema October......ish.
The backdrop for this film isn't space but the antartic, after discovering strange going on's via satelites a team is assembled and sent to explore an aincient pyramid in the Antartic.
The explorers soon discover that they are not alone and soom become trapped in a war between Aliens and the Predators. The aliens are being used as prey for the predators hunting rituals. All hell breaks loose and our heros are in the middle of it.
The effects are outstanding and the Predators are by far the bestest dreadlock wearing, invisible. alien ass kickers out there !! It's got a half decent story but this could of been developed better. The movie could also do with being a little longer and a welcome return to Lance Hinerickson as Bishop. All in all 9/10 for the predators 7/10 for the movie.
