you need tp put a big sheet on the floor to catch any drips etc as it makes a mess, also wear a hat & gloves & goggles & your old clothes

costco do a nice little compressor for about £35... halfords do the same one for about £115... doesn't come with a schutz gun but they're cheap!... just the job for waxoyl/underseal but not powerful enough to run tools.

A good tip is to place the can in very hot water for at least 20 mins before starting to help it flow better. You will find it sprays on much easier and with less mess. Also using a pair of ramps will give you more clearance to crawl underneath, especially helpful to get the probe into the holes in the sub frame and chassis.
You will still need overalls though. And the smell.....

It took me about 2 1/2 hours to cover all the underside.

I also hope to do this job soon, too, either with Waxoyl or another similar product. Is there anyone out there who has done this that would be willing to post a guide? I'm sure there are instructions on the products, but they're rarely as useful as advice from someone who's actually done the job...

Do you wire brush old rust off before you do it, or just treat it instead?
Do you jetwash the underside before you do it?
Do you paint over any metal left bare if you do remove rust?
            What do you coat?
            What do you not coat?
Do shaft joints/other lube points have to be degreased first?
How long does it take to apply?
How long does it take to dry?
            Is it difficult to do?
What/where are the holes in the subframe & chassis?
Do you have to do any holes in the bottoms of the doors?
How long does a coating last?
Do I ask too many questions?

treat the rust spots... painting will seal in any moisture and make it worse...
