Might not appeal to everybody and I havn't had chance to check it's accuarcy but I found this Android Inclinometer which I thought might be quite useful to some.

It's called "Clinometer with Compass" and can be found on the Play store.

    And it's free!

It's also free to look out of the truck's windows.

When the angles get interesting the last place you'll be looking is your phone! Ive got tje factory jobbie and tbh i've never looked at it. Ever.

Not at all Vince, I'll be too busy hunting around for the phone charger to look at either the phone or where I'm going as it drains the battery having the screen on all the time

The middle one is the useful one for me when stopped and reading the map.....The other two is for melons to scream about as she watches it and worries

I've just downloaded it, and I think it's cool. Cheers Mark. Amusingly, It makes a loud alarming noise whenever you reach critical angles, just when you really don't want to be distracted. (This, in reality, has got to be variable, though, depending on the track, wheelbase and centre of gravity of your truck). Doubt wether I'll use it in a serious situation, though. I prefer to rely on my "Spidey Senses"....

Critical limits can be altered to match your own vehicle if your Spidey Senses leave you (best I could find)

But won't the phone need to be mounted on the dash in a holder of some sort and then calibrated on flat level ground first.

Calibrate the phone in it's holder on the dash or wherever when the vehicle is on flat ground and both displays should read "0". This is purely to suit what angle you prefer the phone to be at.

The calibrations for the alarm can be adjusted for critical tilt angles before hand and is just a case of entering which value angle you want it to go off at (if at all)

BTW Vince, just read your Lexsurf VIII thread from beginning to end for the first time and would just like to compliment you on your amazing workmanship and mechanical skills.

Thanks for the compliment Mark. That thread is relatively short compared to the others though.

There's no s in Lexurf by the way.
