    On the back of the recent flury of "Where's the snow" threads, I've decided to pass on a couple of wee weather tips. These are things I've noticed over the years (maybe some of you have missed them?) and I thought I'd pass them on.

    In the UK, we live in a reasonably temperate climate, sometimes it'll snow, sometimes it wont. Sometimes it's warm, sometimes it's not. If what you have isn't what you want, here's a couple of top tips.

    If you want snow but don't have any, move further north; if you don't want snow but have some, move further south.

    If you want heat but don't have any, move further south; if you don't want heat but have some, move further north.

    It rains a lot in the UK.

    Now there is some great sensible advice and amazingly tailored to personal taste, the advice I get from this site is invaluable and taking note of this advice I shall shortly be selling my house, packing everything in the surf and moving to Iceland....

        My problem is that I really really like Scotland, but I really really like warm weather... On a further note, conveniently avoiding the rather tiresome "snow thread", I would like to make my annual comment that I really hate snow.
