unexpected mpg gains.

Fitted a side exit exhaust to my surf. Its a 90 degree bend from flexi out by the nsr wheel, no boxes. So sounds like a turbo tractor crossed with a biplane.

Anyway, when I first got the surf I was getting approx 21 mpg.

Fitted 31 bfg muds and was getting around 19
Spaced out the actuator for turbo. around 17
Fitted the modulars which spaced 30mm. 16

Just dealt with that, done nothing else but fitted a side exit for a noise test and not to kill the tail pipe off roading and now getting -......-...... 23 mpg!!!!!

No diesel rhino used.

Can you send me a sample of this "90 degree tube" you've used... sounds a bit snake oily to me....I mean surely an exhaust gets hotter than 90 degrees?

Forgot to mention, that balancer pulley I sold you is an uprated version, it's coated with Teflon which helps the 2.4 produce more power due to less friction with the air.

At the min its a blob of mud, ill take some pics after I visit the jetwash. At the moment, being a trial its jubilee clipped to the chassis on the trailing arm mount. But I like it and the turbo sound as it spools down so going to modify to tidy. Was made from scrap zorsts.
