Well it started up fine again this morning so not sure what to do now, batterys cant be ferked one minuit and ok the next, i hear what to say about the split charge thing, a good idea, i was thinking about wiring a permanant charger socket somewhere just to make it easier to plug the charger in, what i had in mind was taking a wire from say the neg of the n/s battery and one from the pos on the o/s battery to a two pin socket perhaps mounted on the o/s wing (with a cover) so when the charger is plugged into it it would charge both batterys,(as they are connected together), does that sound ok or am i overlooking summat,
meanwhile i think i'll get the batts checked and also the alternator output checked, i'll phone round and get some prices etc,

My battery would go intermitantly flat when it was on the way out... would hold fine for weeks, then one day not start (admitedly always worse when cold).

I could just about put up with it until an awkward day when I said I'd give one of the directors a lift, and it wouldn't start...

I thought I'd best get a new battery (infact make it two) after that!
      More Lift.
      More Tyres.
      More Engine.

Thats the problem, you cant rely on the thing, and as you say sod's law dictates it wont start when you really need it anyway it started ok today again so monday i'm popping (after the docs) to quick fit where i'm told they do a free batt and alt check, so we'll see,
think i'll look into this split charge idea, sounds like a goodun
