  • what should i look for?

after being hit by a thunder, i mean lightning, yesterday.

    so far got this

my 2 mates where with me said they don't want to be on the surf no more (no fix with that)

    a few light bulbs gone,

    stereo not working

every time press the foot brake the dashboard lights turn on

    cb radio not working

everything else seems to be working fine, besides me with a big headache.

should i be looking for other stuff that might be wrong and don't see so far?

    thanks

Well I get 50%. I know what trollies are, but I can,t work out what a thunder is and how it could hit you. Still it could be worse I'm sure. You could have got struck by lightning

FYI, Budweiser is Spanish and I think his grammar is far better than a lot of other members on here.

I though San Miguel was Spanish and Budweiser was an American rip off of Czech beer.

                      Fools!

Have you checked all the fuses yet, I'd just go through them all to double check.

Fix all your bulbs, and see what still plays up.

Check all the earth connections on batts and the chassis/motor.

Does the CB get power from the radio power? If the clock isn't working as well they are all on the same fuse.

THe Radio and CB will have their own fuses as well.

With my limited knowledge of electrickery it does sound like some earth connections may have been bolloxed.(Technical term for not connecting)

On a serious note (shocker I know pardon the pun) but I thought that being in a car you were uber safe from lightning.
So all those tv clips I have seen where the car gets zapped with a gazillion volts and then drives off without a care in the world, are they all bull?

In that case i appoligise to Budweiser as i'm sure his "english" is far better than my "spanish", but as it's not mentioned in his profile i didn't know,

anyway i guess he did mean lightning then, lucky he wasn't leaning on the truck with his feet in a puddle or he wouldn't need to worry about blown bulbs or bugga all else for that matter

you are safer in a car when lightning's about, as long as you aint touching owt metal etc, it will "spike" the electrics though and much dependant on whats switch on at the time,

just dont shelter under a tree when lightnings around, scare's the shite out of me lightning,
