Sometimes my 4wd won't engage striaght away, so I give it 30 seconds of driving, and if the orange light is still flashing, click it out on the gearlever side button, and then back in. Usually works. I googled the same issue when I was new to the truck, it's a common issue.

You can also try dropping it into N and then putting it back into D while moving, give it some gas, also known to make the orange flashing light go out.

I find that the more I use it, the quicker it engages. It's been raining for ages here so been on for a week.

All the above tried tonight and no difference. Did have a play around with 4w4 while out. can tell you all lights come on when button pressed in h2/h4, when switched off lights go out. while driving in h2/h4 i pulled lever strate into 4L and light come on without pressing button. then stopped selected neutral and selected L2,started to roll back was on slight decline, so selected L on gears and started moving forwards slowly . i do think some of the 4x4 is working.
