Really? Journalistic claptrap at its best. Personally, I think UAVs are an excellent idea. Think of it, zero allied losses, and therefore nothing for the Daily Fail to write about. Excellent!

Other than there being no chance of pilot death, there is essentially no difference between a UAV and a manned fighter as regards capability. I would argue that there is actually less likelihood of 'friendly fire' or collateral damage using a UAV because the stress level of the 'pilot' is lower. He's more likely to take the time to analyse targeting info, imagery etc if he's on the ground out of harms way than if he's been fired on, so much more likely to hit the correc t target. The only downsides are for the bad guys really.
