Steering damper MOT failure

Just failed the MOT due to excessive play in steering damper bush.
Haven't got round to crawling under and taking it off yet, and was wondering if just the bush can be replaced or will the whole damper need replacing.

I feel your pain,mine just failed on arb front and rear bushes amongst other things. Best part was I asked the mot tester what he would have done if I had removed the arb's before the test after seeing it discussed on here. His reply was "if it's not there, I can't test it". Still plenty other things he failed it on though

Mines easy, I have no front anti roll bar and no steering dampener
Still get WOF every time (WOF here is your MOT)
Kinda scared at what some testing stations here let pass, some rather dodgy cars running around
