                Drove a newer gen one with a 4.0. Awful and numb to drive, thirsty is not the word. It was also really slow considering the size of the engine. No doubt the older ones are worse.

                    Found the problem

                    After going around and around in my head and as winter has and is still approaching i decided to take the plunge and started work on the truck. i have taken old head of and as you can see the problem clearly it was on the first piston looks like the timiming had gone at some point but there is no sign of the mising chunk anywhere and left no mark on the piston picture of the ned head to follow thanks for looking
