      Probably for the best.

You haven't been Albannached yet have you?

Oh no. You shouldn't have said that. Am I going to be here all night re-punctuating? No. It's not funny any more (probably wasn't in the first place, anyway). Off to bed....

Hey - at last I get to disagree with Dr Anglegrinder !

You don't have to live with dyslexia, you CAN overcome it - I won't pretend it's easy and you can never stop working at it. Both my wife and daughter are dyslexic - Jackie has just passed her NVQ3 which is pretty amazing for somebody that left school at 15 and was pretty much written off as illiterate. Katie is in the 2nd year of a BA(Hons) in Youth and Community Development which involves a huge amount of writing - obviously she has tools to help her but at the moment she's on course for a minimum of a 2/1.

Actually it won't if the car was operating normally before fitting the larger rad, IF the car was overheating before fitting the new rad then it may run cooler subsequently

                        tony

no you are wrong i fitted a new rad and heater matrix incase any shxt was in the matrix and i fitted new water pump but it still went into the red if you think about it how is a standard rad the same as the rad on a non tubo going to keep a auto turbo cool when you have the transmission oil at the bottom of the rad keeping it hot and the water from the tubo its simple it isnt why do you think so many overheat and fxck up i have had surfs for donkeys years i bought the surf with a known cracked head but it runs fine now towing or of road i have no overheating problems at all

Carl, I'd guess your 2.4 overheated because your rad was forked, a new 2.4 or 3.0 rad would have fixed it, the usual overheating problems on Surfs are 1/ Cracked head, 2/ Knackered viscous fan, 3/leaks from old hoses, 4/ Plugged rad, just fitting a 3.0 rad to a overheating 2.4 will only cure the last problem.

                        But good your's is solved.

If it's cooler after fitting a larger rad then there was an issue previously cos the thermostat wasn't doing it's job properly

                          PS
Telling Tony he's wrong is an interesting tactic

That's the job for a fully functioning viscous fan, you have made 10 posts and have already ####ed people off, here's a suggestion, stop being an arrogant prick.

                              Edit; why would you fit a heater matrix and water pump first? If you know as much as you say you do then you would have started with the basics, which are;
                              Leaks
                              Air lock
                              Thermostat
                              Rad cap
                              Viscous fan
                              Radiator
                              Waterpump.

People who can't understand grammar, or maths, or chemistry etc are all welcome here. As long as we all understand about Surfs and help each other if we can. I'm still at the bottom of the pond but working my way up......slowly.
