  • Rear adjustable shocks

Hi there people, I've been searching the forum but cannot find anything about raising the rear suspension and still keeping the ability to adjust the normal too hard capabilities, can it be done??

put a chalk line on your damper. jack up the BODY, not the axle, and see how much upwards travel you have. There's your lift "ability". Remember if you are driving with topped out shocks though, you only get damping in one direction - ie skipping over pot holes....

Maybe combine a small lift using coil spacers with a small bodylift ?

Depends how high you want to lift it.

          Buy Rancho adjustable shocks.

The Norm/Hard stuff is really over rated, you really won't miss it, and any type of new shocks will be better than your old ones.

Chances are if you still have the original rear shocks on, they are toast in terms of feeling any difference between soft and hard.

I've had Rancho's on my old 2nd gen, and my current plan may well be to put them on this new truck too (don't worry, I won't mention the marque again)...

You have an option of manual adjustment on the shocks themselves, or you buy the kit that has an air compressor and pipework to each shock, and a simple control panel in the vehicle. Press one button to pump up, another to pump down...simples!

Make or buy some shock extenders.
