group buy snorkel fitted

i had a few hours free today so had a go at fitting the group buy snorkel


its a nice fit , but the template that comes with it is miles off bolt holes , i used the template to drill the main intake hole but then just made the other 4 holes myself .

Looks good, Steve. every bit as good as th one that Mike, from "Aliensnorkels", sourced for me. Mine doesn't have the "HILUX" logo embossed on it, though......Lets see some more.........

With the bracket that rivets to the pillar I bolted the bracket to the snorkel first and then rivetted it to the pillar .

is there any extra parts needed for the plumbing?
or does the rubber hose just attach to the flexi that comes out of the air filter housing?

Nothing else needed apart from the tools to do the job. The rubber hose in the kit fits straight from the snorkel to the air filter housing. It was a bit frustrating getting the holes in the right place and took me just under 2 hours to complete it.

Oh and the large cast alloy piece in the kit goes straight in the bin lol. The 2 other cast alloy parts go on the inner wing and sandwich it .
