  • Squeeky Wipers

I've had my Surf for a few years now but for the last year or so, the wipers squeek even when it's tipping it down. It's definitely the blade against the screen because if I lift the wiper arm (seems to be the offside more than the near), the noise stops so it's not the arm mechanism. Obviously I've changed the blades, cleaned the windscreen,(even scraped lightly with a Stanley blade in case it was tree resin on the screen. I've bent the arms in a bit, I've bent the arms out a bit, still I get the squeek!!
Has anyone else encountered this problem ?, did you fix it?

If so , whats the secret ?? pleeeeze.

    Ant.

I'm not sure how to stop squeaks but I use RainX on the windscreen. Rain water just streams off the windscreen with the wipers hardly ever needed. It's great stuff.

Ah ok, well I'll give it a try and if it works, 100 house points to you.

I hear gun oil works a treat on wiper arms, can't vouch for it though.
