It was the one I ordered, but the paint finish was so bad I couldn't grip it properly and this caused the razor to knick my chin.
Gillette have replied to my E-mail now and suggested I paint the razor to improve the finish to restore confident gripping, and any left over paint could be used on the razor's holder.
I said I wasn't happy about having to buy some paint and could they reimburse my costs. They said "it's not their policy to offer refunds for hygiene reasons, but I could return the razor and receive a credit note for another razor or maybe some shaving gel."
I said no it's OK, the paint will come in handy for other things anyway. At the end of the day, the razor works fine and it's only the finish I have a problem with.
They replied with, "thank you for being so understanding regarding this matter most people would just log on to the internet and tell the world."

as forum diplomat i see both views ,rt should offer compensation for the inconvienience of the buyer buying paint and time spent painting rad ,then can say barry has provided 1000s of parts to satisfied members ,but can recall times when some parts wasnt up to scratch and posts was put on here ,so for continued satisfied customers and avoid bad press if i was barry i would offer partial refundOnly Toyota can get you out of shite

If its that much of a problem send it back and go to milners or weebay, otherwise fit it and have a working surf again, dont just complain about oponions you dont agree with.
I fully understand the fact that youre annoyed over the situation, but if rt dont offer compensation then they simply dont, so the solutions are fit, paint and fit or return.well, that was a bad idea!

Totally aggree Dave, this is getting a bit silly, not too sure why this guys getting dumped on for posting a bad experience with a company we have probably all had dealing with, it's good to know about bad experiences concerning RT, Milners or anyone else for that matter, while most dealings with these companys are fine it only takes a few duff ones to ruin a reputation so as ya say Barry could be a bit more flexable with complaints,
remember Webbo had one of those rads and it burst within a year (or just over) and he got no help at all, also Jim had those rear light gauards that didn't fit and went rusty, not Barrys fault as such but he's the one selling this stuff and should be more helpfull, up to him to take up complaints with the people supplying him, after all he must get quite a bit of custom from forum members, isn't RT and Milners the first place we point new members to regarding parts?
must admit i'd be bl00dy annoyed if i'd bought one of these rads, anyway enough!Too young to die and too old to give a toss

Personally I would not want to be respraying a product I had paid all that money for. It is obvious RT is in a bad way with these Rads. I am very pleased with the ally one, I know its early days, but we will see.
Cheer up everybody it will soon be Christmas. And the Game season starts tomorrow.....

If the rad is sound apart from some marks in the paint finish, then it's a choice between fitting it and using my truck that day or of re-packing, being available for collection then waiting another two days for a replacement radiator, I would rather just touch up the one I have here now. It's only packaging marks we're talking about here anyway.
