Well i'd be glad to swap services pop. I found out that the subaru forester also came with an FMU that fits perfectly under the radio and does almost everything that Hilux monitor does, but theyre the same price and obviously much cooler since it comes from a sister vehicle. Don't want to taint my 4runner blood with a subaru

      Freight

I might be able to help....My father in law works for a logistics company based in the states - CA. Could see how much a small cargo would cost? Would prob work out cheaper to send in bulk. Maybe get a few orders together and send to someone in UK to send on?
      Cheers

This could be very handy, especially as I had a quick look at getting some brake discs from the States last night and at first I was chuffed, $130 for a pair of Brembo grooved/drilled discs, then I saw they delivered to UK, but for another $160...

What is the name of the company? I'm in Alabama so if they ship from a Pacific port it may not save anything and add time but ill call and ask questions.
I'll start calling and researching prices for you guys and get some information starting Monday. I appreciate the interest folks.
As for the rotors, I bought the very same ones in the US for $80 for the pair with free shipping.

I think it was a company called Power Sport or something, not even sure they're the right ones for the upgrade, I was just looking, they got my attention as they fit a Tundra and were Drilled and Grooved, but I'm quite keen to see how much I could get the whole Tundra brake upgrade kit for, delivered to the UK.

I need to do a bit more research on exactly what parts I need and see if I can find them from the US. In fact, maybe an even better upgrade, might be to see if there's an upgrade that fits straight onto a Tundra, the theory being if it does fit the Tundra they should fit the Surf, say for example brakes from the FJ Cruiser, then why not go the whole hog and get them

              231mm Tundra Calipers

That link is from Toyota-4runner.org and it gives complete and detailed information on the Tundra brake upgrade.

If you decide to order them I can help ship them to you if needed.

                @ Yoshie.

I don't have a problem with someone asking what their truck is worth, you can't automatically assume everyone is trying to to be devious.

This would have been better to have just left to the people he helped out to offer a bit of extra money when they settle up on the shipping cost if they want, rather than blatently saying it'll make me some money though.

Remember that people in the US are all for people making money, unlike over here where most of the population seem to delight in bringing down successful people who have got of their arses and made some money, and seem to want to get everything for nothing.

Also, I hope Sean won't might me saying this if he is all above board, but at the risk of sounding like someones Dad, He is a random guy just turned up on an open forum, remember you are talking about sending what could be hundreds of pounds worth of stuff you've paid for to someone you don't know across the other side of the world.

Apart from that, go nuts, I've send 4 or 5 items to Oz this year for people who wanted parts they can't get there, and have forwarded Roughtrax stuff for people in other countries too, so it does work if you trust each other.

Aren't you just a bundle of kittens? Stereotyping is not my thing, and I'm glad you're experienced and familiar with proper American culture instead of stereotypes and news publications.

I have no way to prove I'm honest, he is right about that. It is an offer I made and not a requirement at all.

Secondly, if you think the little post count number under your alias gives you a godlike amount of trust then you're mistaken sir. I would also like to mention that the extent of your rude attitude is unnecessary and as a new member has given me a new outlook on your perspective on my culture and me as a person and has not impressed me at all with the quality of your character.

No idea, praps' I shouldn't have bothered to have tried to explain why a few members expressed reservations to me about this offer. I though I was being nice....

Maybe we don't speak a similar language after all.

                            Morning all!

@ TonyN - Whilst I've caught you in a good mood, being nice and all that, is there any chance you can let me know about some of the parts I've asked about in your other thread about the 3rd Gen you're breaking please?

Specifically the rear seat belt bit.

                            Thanks in advance

Thanks again for the offer Sean, unless I happen to find someone/somewhere that has the parts and can post to the UK at reasonable prices I'll give you a chance

In the mean time I think what would be handy about this Tundra brake upgrade is if someone, or some company actually sold the lot as a kit, and I wouldn't be surprised if they do over in the US, I'll continue to do some digging and see what I can find...
